Arcadi at Eye

Arcady came to stay with me at Eye. He later told me of his arrival at Berrington and Eye station. ‘It was a slow train and when it came to Eye, no one it seems has ever got out there and so it didn’t bother to stop at the platform but instead parked in a field far away and I looked out and there was a void. And so I shouted and they moved back the train and I got out and the porter said would I go up to the house and ‘Master Jeremy’ would fetch my luggage in a car later.’
